The Microsoft .NET Framework can be defined as an environment for developing, deploying and running appli­cations and web services on Windows platforms such as Windows Server, Windows and Azure.

The .NET Framework supports the use of different languages and libraries for application development. Supported languages include Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual C#, Visual J#. This course provides an overview of the features and architecture of the .NET Framework, and the technologies, languages, development tools and hosting options it provides.
